The beginings of 2010
Monday, the 4th, school was still out so my 12 year old nephew, Justice, came over to help me with the boys. He is such a great helper and absolutely loved playing with Eden. Isaac was a little too fussy for him.
After Christmas, I got a cold, soon after Isaac got it, then Joey and Eden. Eden started wheezing so I brought him in to the pediatrician who said he has a mild to moderate case of bronchiolitis, or baby bronchitis. He has a nebulizer and some medicine and will go back for a follow up this coming Wednesday. She also swabbed his nose to see if he got RSV, but I'm praying he didn't. My cold is mostly gone except for some chest congestion and Joey has a little left in his sinuses. Isaac's seems to be gone as I didn't even have to use the sucker on his nose today, which is great!
Isaac had his sleep study last night at Scottish Rite of Johnson Ferry. We checked in around 7 and I was changing him and getting ready to feed him when I realized I forgot to pack a bottle of all things. I had the formula, just nothing for him to drink it out of. The nurse was awesome and found one for me and after several tries, he finally ate. She played and talked with him to put him at ease while placing a bunch of probes all over his head and body and then had to wrap the poor little guys head in gauze. He got pretty upset when she placed the one under his nose and eventually calmed down while I rocked him to sleep. I couldn't move much though or he would wake up. The nurse also allowed me to sleep in the same bed as him instead of him in a crib, but he was really wiggly because of the stuff on his head and I had a hard time getting comfortable myself, but she said the test went fine and his oxygen levels looked great. They will send the results to his pediatrician and pulmonologist whom we'll see at the begining of next month for his official "release".
Tomorrow they will have another round of RSV shots, and both come to the Chiropractor with me on Thursday. Here's to hoping it's a good week and everyone is feeling better by the end of it.
