November/Update
Isaac had his follow up appointment with the pulmonologist Friday and she said his lungs sound great and he looks like he's doing well. We weaned him off oxygen and she will be scheduling his sleep test in the next week or so which will make sure he's okay to not use oxygen over night (although we already exercise that at home when he tears it off his face in the middle of the night). He and I will spend the night up at Scottish Rite and Joey and Eden will have to stay at home. It's non invasive and not painful, basically monitors he's already used to, but theirs and probably more sensors for him to grab at. She said he'll probably keep the monitors on at home for the remainder of the year, but request only a small oxygen tank to be kept in the home in case he develops a cold and needs assistance breathing.
Today we brought the boys over to my parent's house to celebrate my dad's birthday. My sister and nephew's haven't seen them in about a month because one of them was always sick and my Aunt Marion was there, who hadn't been able to see them since they were first born and in the hospital due to her own illnesses. I was so happy they could all be there and the boys enjoyed all the attention as well. Justice was so excited he met us at the car and as soon as I set the car seat down, he asked if he could unbuckle Eden and hold him. As soon as he started to wiggle too much though, he started calling for Jaimie to come get him. Dad had a good birthday and everyone made awesome food as always. Just one more step towards feeling "normal." We used to have a family dinner every Sunday, rotating at my parent's house, my sister's house, and ours, but haven't done so since the Sunday before the boys were born. As long as everyone remains healthy, it's a tradition I am look forward to starting back up.
Monday Isaac will get his second RSV shot and Eden will receive his first. I'm happy about it of course but hoping they will both tolerate it well. They ran a slight fever when they got their two month shots and Isaac was a little irritable when he got his first shot so I'm a little anxious, but it will be okay. Debbie with the Babies Can't Wait Program will be back to visit Tuesday to check on Isaac and Eden's progression with the list of items she's having us work on with them. Then on the 21st they will go to Jennifer's studio in Acworth for their 3 month pictures and hopefully something we can use for a Christmas card.
