10/10/10 Mercier Orchard
We headed up to Blue Ridge to Mercier Orchard today. We could have endured the lines and whatnot for the Apple Festival in the 30-minutes-closer -Elijay, but I really enjoyed Mercier. We went straight to the U-Pick from the parking lot, then they dropped us back at the store for samples and perusing.
While out picking, we got to enjoy the fruit as well. Eden and Isaac both loved it and Isaac would giggle every time Joey took a bite of the apple. The market was a little frustrating because of the multitude of people, but I'm sure nothing like what I heard of the Apple Festival. I's still like to go one year, but while we have to tote the boys around, I'll stick with something simpler :)
We brought home some Fuji, Pink Lady, and a bunch of braeburn, which were our favorites.
