10.16.10 Pumpkin Patch

Went to the Yule Forest/Pumpkin Patch today with the fam. I was a little disappointed - they charge a general admission fee now, $5 a person and were going to charge individually for the boys as well if they could walk on their own. It does include the hayride an a few other things, but still would have preferred to pay for tickets for that if we wanted to do it instead. We had a good time though. Looked at the rabbits, looked around the way-to-warm reptile house for a minute, went on the hayride, walked around the petting zoo, looked at the overpriced pumpkins. My mom had the awesome idea to wedge the boys in between some of the pumpkins to get pictures of them "standing" amongst them. I think it freaked Eden out a little, like he thought we might leave him there. It looked like Isaac really enjoyed the feeling of independence though.

I handed my camera to mom when we got on the hayride and she took most of the pictures from there. She did a great job (even after a mini lesson on how to use it ;p) and looked like she enjoyed it. Anyone have a good DSLR they don't want anymore for my mom to play with :) The best part was going back top my mom & dad's for the crock-pot feast. Everything was tasty and we probably ate too much. The boys only napped for 30 minutes while we were there but had a decent nap before we headed out. Probably won't go there next year. Might look into a different place though. Just not what I remembered from childhood, but it's always a bigger deal in your head when you're little :)

Here is a link to all of the pictures.
